More About Ben

Through his vast intellect, shrewd judgement and analytical skill set, Ivory has created an indispensable role within the firm. He is literally Meridian's acquisition and capital engine room.

In addition to being a key contributor to Meridian's bottom-line, the team can always count on Ivory to step up when it comes to the company's commitment to giving back.

He has participated in the firm's annual volunteer event at the Alameda County Food Bank every year, and recently helped install a split-rail fence and restore signage along Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Park in San Ramon as a volunteer.

Ben Ivory is Meridian’s director of capital markets and asset management. In that role he is tasked with running Meridian’s internal underwriting team, procuring equity and debt capital, and asset management analytics and reporting. It is a broad and multi-dimensional, cross-functional and cross-platform role within the firm. Through his vast intellect, shrewd judgement and analytical skill set, he has created an indispensable role within the firm. He is literally Meridian’s acquisition and capital engine room.

Ivory is in the early stages of his career but going places. Each year the firm formulates a strategy to hand over another fundamental role within the company to him, starting with hiring, training, mentoring and managing the underwriting department. The quality of Meridian’s underwriting has garnered significant praise from the investment committee and outside capital sources all attributed to Ivory and his team. Then Meridian layered on asset management analytics, a natural outcropping. Ivory surprised with his ability to redefine those processes and reporting standards, bringing the firm’s credibility to a new level with the partners and board. The latest addition to his responsibilities was as director of capital markets. This outward-facing role is pivotal for the firm and affirms the comfort level in his brand management, quality control and communication acumen.
